We
are a small sister co-owned cattery located in Smyrna,
TN, just south of Nashville. We have always been animal
lovers but just fell in love with the Bengal. Their history,
appearance and personality are like no other cat.
The
Domestic Bengal Cat is the result of breeding the exotic
Asian Leopard Cat (ALC) to a selective few breeds of
the domestic cat. Bengal's are often referred to by
the generation they are from their leopard cat ancestor.
An
F-1 is a Bengal cat having an ALC as a parent, an F-2
is a Bengal cat having an ALC as a grandparent and so
on. The International Cat Association (TICA) considers
the fourth generation (F-4) to be a SBT (Studbook tradition)
Bengal. At this point they are eligible for competition
in the show ring and a fully accepted domestic cat.
Even
though the Bengal cat looks wild and exotic, they are
a loving, devoted cat that truly crave and offer affection.
They often rub and butt their heads and knead their
paws in your lap. Bengal's are very active, agile and
intelligent cats that display a love for water. Don't
be surprised if you catch them playing in a bathtub
or joining you in the shower!
We
are members of TICA and TIBCS and all of our cats have
a health guarantee.
